Fukuju Kaikan Hall01

Fukuju Kaikan Hall was built in the early Showa period (from around 1935 to 1937 for the main building) by Abe Wansuke, who made his fortune as a dealer in marine foods. It consists of the main building, west teahouse, south teahouse, west storehouse, east storehouse, and western-style building, all of which are registered as nationally registered tangible cultural property. The site is 7,395 square meters with a building area of 872 square meters, and it is a single-story wooden building (partially two-story). Located in the northeastern part of Fukuyama Castle, the site was lined with rice warehouses that stored rice reserves for the Fukuyama domain during the Edo period.
